Section 2.2 Q32
« on: September 19, 2018, 10:31:04 PM »
I attempted to do section 2.2 Q32, and get the answer $x^2+y^2-e^cx^3=0$. However, the answer from the textbook is $x^2+y^2-cx^3=0$. Can someone please explain to me where I did wrong? I have attached my answers below. Also, is it possible to solve this problem by rewriting it as a Bernoulli equation?

You got the same answer. Think why

Yes, indeed, it is also a Bernoulli equation. Some equations could be solved by more than one method.

$e^c$ is just some arbitrary constant which the textbook has replaced with just $c$. Your answer and the textbook's answer are the same.
