Hi Professor Ivrii. I have a question on the attachment above. In part b, after dragging out the factor, why the remainder is (partial u)/(partial v) instead of u? Thanks.

Thanks professor. I just saw my mark for HA4 on portal. Hope can hear from TAs soon.

Hi Professor Ivrii. I was wondering if we could get our assignments back today. Thanks.

I think now all marks (66) have been posted. I have not heard from TAs, so I cannot answer this question.

HA5 s still on 25.

Correct. Fixed.

Don't hijack topics--I renamed your post and split topic.

Thanks.

Right

Hi Professor Ivrii. Please see the attachment. I was wondering if ρ and r are exactly the same, and z=ρcos(θ) should be z=ρcos(ϕ).

Hi professor. I was wondering if there is a mistake in the lecture note 23. Please see the following attachment. There should be no "r" after Cn, right?

Maybe due to different constants.

I think you are right.

why in problem 1 we are looking for 'solutions' instead of a single solution?

Haha, I have the same question. I can only find one solution. What do you guys think?

Ziting, your jpgs are borked. Anyway, we have enough solutions.

Calvin, if you type your solutions in LaTeX or TeX, you could post just the source fixing some discrepancies on the fly

Yes, there are enough solutions. So I won't post mine. I am still wondering if we need to consider the problem on cases, for example, the transform is not defined when w=β or w=-β. Thanks!

Hi. I answered 2(d) in four cases. Is it not necessary to do it?
