Section 2.6 Example 2 correction
« on: February 07, 2018, 04:33:58 PM »
In Section 2.6, Example 2, equation (14) it is written:

$$\begin{multline} \psi(x)=-c\int_0^{-x/c}q(t')\,dt'+\phi(x)=\\ -c\int_0^{-x/c}q(t')\,dt'+\frac{1}{2}g(-x) + \frac{1}{2c}\int_0^{-x} h(x')\,dx'. \qquad \label{eq-2.6.14} \end{multline}$$

But I believe the expression should contain $$\phi(-x)$$ not $$\phi(x)$$ as follows from $$\phi(-x)-\psi(x)=c\int_0^{-x/c}q(t')\,dt'$$

Yeah it should be $\phi(-x)$ but in the next line they correctly included -x in the g(x) and h(x) functions so I don't think it should change any following equations
