Our Term Test #2 covers all of Ch. 7 and Ch.9 up to 9.4 (and including) all problems. But whatever are the questions in the textbook, in the last 3
sections you should
(i) find all critical points;
(ii) linearize the system at each;
(iii) determine "the type" of each of the resulting linear system;
(iv) draw the phase portraits of the latter;
(v) determine whether the phase portraits of the original not linear system near its critical points is the same as for the linearization;
(vi) draw the combined phase portrait of the whole system.
The problems for Quiz #5 will cover the same (for all problems of Ch. 9 in our homework assignments).
