Will scrap papers be provided for test by any chance?

Indeed. But you should not misuse it:

Some students decided to submit it with the booklet.

One student decided to write a part of the solution there and submit it (luckily, it was discovered at the end of the test and he/she was requested to copy it to extra pages)
