It's not in the textbook but was covered in lecture. Also, most of those questions can be solved using other tactics correct?

In my opinion I don't think we have to.
It's not in the textbook and according to the sample probelms that we don't have to use it for the test.

No, I don't think so either, as professor said, we need to know TT1+TT2+QUIZ7.
And Sample problems
