One of Test marks occasionally lost its decimal point and increased 100 times, greatly affecting an average but not changing the median. BB calculates average, median, whatever it displays to you, automatically, and at the moment I was alerted that the average is that high I knew that there is some very inflated mark. An average is more sensitive to the values which are way out of the ordinary. F.e. if Jeff Bezos enrolled in this class, your class average wealth would be above 200,000,000, but the median would not change much
While theoretically the relation between a median and an average could be any, in the marking practice median is always larger (albeit insignificantly)
