Title: QED symbol?
Post by: Zarak Mahmud on October 16, 2012, 09:58:48 PM
How do you render that square symbol to indicate the end of a proof? I wasn't able to find it doing a quick google search.

LOL! The trouble: as MJ is not a text LaTeX it does not flush it right.

$\square$ $\blacksquare$

BTW, in AMS-LaTeX such symbol is inserted automatically in the end of the {proof} environment

Here's a nice searchable list of mathjax symbols I've been using:

Yup I've been using that resource too. I didn't think to check \square or $\blacklozenge$.

Which commands are supported, depends on configuration--which extensions are loaded
http://docs.mathjax.org/en/latest/tex.html (http://docs.mathjax.org/en/latest/tex.html)

We are not supporting chemical macros f.e.

What we can do:

\begin{equation*}
\begin{aligned}
&\boxed{\begin{aligned}
&3+3=6,\\&4+4=8.\end{aligned}}
\end{aligned}
\end{equation*}
